“And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned Him about in the press, and said, Who touched My clothes? And He said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” —– Mark 5:30,34
What was it that made this woman whole?
The Bible says Jesus knew “virtue,” or power, had gone out of Him at the same time the woman felt in her body she was healed of the issue of blood. (29,30.)
But then Jesus said, “Daughter, your faith made you whole.” So which was it? Did Jesus’ power heal her, or was it her faith?
It was a combination of the two. But, He did not release it knowingly. She took His power without asking Him. She just drew it from Him.
If Jesus had said, “Daughter, My power has healed you,” everyone in the crowd could’ve asked, “Why didn’t Your power heal me? I need a miracle too.” Jesus answered that question before it was even asked. He said, “Daughter, your faith made you whole.” Then everyone knew why she’d gotten healed and they hadn’t.
Jesus’ healing power would’ve gone into anyone in that crowd who reached out in faith. But no faith was involved when the others touched Jesus. Therefore, God’s power wasn’t released on their behalf, and the woman was the only one healed.
Even today we need a combination of faith and power. It’s our faith that releases God’s power to perform miracles in our lives. God’s power is always available to His children—it’s just a matter of learning how to tap in to that divine source of power by faith.
You see, the woman with the issue of blood released God’s power with her faith. She drew His power out by her faith!
So now, if you need healing..say, “By faith I release that same power in my life. God’s power is making me whole now in JESUS Name!”
Believe that you have received and now thank Him … even if you cannot see it, feel it.. start declaring it done and call that healing by faith. Why? Because it was already purchased for every believer of Jesus 2000 years ago… paid for.. done! Take it… it is free!
